FAQS

ARE VACCINES REQUIRED?

Yes. Your dog must be fully up to date with the age appropriate vaccines. Proof of vaccinations is required for all boarding dogs.

DO YOU HAVE A GARAUNTEE?

There is currently no guarantee for private sessions. This is due to the fact that your results after your private sessions program depends vastly on your commitment to training your dog daily and completing your weekly homework your trainer assigns. Board and Train Programs do have a guarantee. If your trainer feels like they are not able to provide the promised results, they will continue to work with your dog for no additional cost.

WHAT IS YOUR SERVICE AREA?

We service everywhere! Our service area for in home sessions is Katy and the surrounding cities. If you reside outside of that area we can still train virtually, through a board and train, or in person if you are able to commute.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER A BOARD AND TRAIN PROGRAM?

At the end of your dogs program we will have a transfer session with you. During this session you will get to apply the skills that your dog learned under the guidance of your trainer. We make sure that you are able to physically practice the skills you've watched your dog learn through the update videos. We'll show you exactly what your dog has learned and how to reinforce it to make sure you get long term success.

WHICH SERVICE IS RIGHT FOR ME?

This all depends on your goals and your dogs needs. If your dog is exhibiting reactivity, then the in-person private sessions or a board and train program is what you seek. If you just need help with a few basic commands then try out the virtual sessions. If you are unsure of which program is best for you and your dog, feel free to contact us with questions!

IS MY DOG TOO OLD FOR TRAINING?

The short answer - no. Your dog can always learn house manners and boundaries no matter their age. Now, as far as fancy tricks and flashy obedience, age might play a factor if your dog is struggling with arthritis, poor eyesight, hip dysplasia, etc.

WHAT BREEDS DO YOU ACCEPT?

All breeds are welcome in the P&C family! We believe that every dog should be able to have access to professional dog training no matter their breed.

WHAT IS YOUR APPROACH TO PET TRAINING?

We are balanced trainers that provide each dog we train with a customized program. We discuss what your end goals are first and from there we form a plan for training. After meeting your dog and getting a feel for their learning style, we adjust our approach as needed. Dogs are unique just like humans so we understand some dogs may learn better with certain tools. Our training tool belt consists of a mixture of treats, toys, praise, slip leashes, long lines, flat collars, prong collars, and remote collars. Your trainer will always be transparent with you and discuss any tools before they're used on your dog.
